Real Love is currently a clear favourite in 2016 Adelaide Cup betting markets and the talented mare has been well-backed to take out the Group 2 event at Morphettville this afternoon.

Real Love went straight to the top of Adelaide Cup betting with Ladbrokes.com.au following the scratching of stablemate Signoff and trainer Darren Weir is confident that the daughter of Desert King can record her second straight win this afternoon.

The talented mare has drifted slightly from $2.10 out to $2.25 this morning, but she is still a dominant favourite to record another win at Group 2 level.

Imported stayer Swacadelic has previously beaten Real Love and she is on the second line of Adelaide Cup betting markets at a quote of $8.50.

Swacadelic upstaged Signoff and Real Love to take out the Listed Torney Night Cup (2500m) at Moonee Valley on February 19 and looks as though he will have no issues handling the step-up to 3200 metres.

The only other horse that is available at single figure 2016 Adelaide Cup odds with Ladbrokes.com.au is Tasmanian stayer Up Cups, who has recorded four wins from his past four starts.

Up Cups started his winning streak with a win in the Brighton Cup (2100m) at Hobart on January 8 and he claimed a narrow victory in the Summer Cup (2200m) at the same venue on January 24 before he stamped himself as one of the best stayers in Tasmania with his victories in the Group 3 Hobart Cup (2400m) on February 8 and the Group 3 Launceston Cup (2400m) on February 24.

The best-backed runner in the 2016 Adelaide Cup betting market is Grant Young-trained Celtic Prince and he has been backed from $81 into $34.

Celtic Prince has recorded just one win from 19 race starts in Australia, but he finished second behind Signoff in the Lord Reims Stakes and he was placed at Group 3 level under the care of Bjorn Baker during the 2014 Spring Racing Carnival.

There has been money in the 2016 Adelaide Cup betting market with Ladbrokes for Like A Carousel ($21 into $17), Lucques ($17 into $14) and Celtic Prince ($51 into $34), while Kushadasi ($26 out to $31), Go Dreaming ($41 out to $51), Wales ($26 out to $31), Gallatin ($81 out to $126) and Distillation ($71 out to $126) have all drifted significantly.

Sign-up and deposit with Ladbrokes.com.au before the Adelaide Cup this afternoon to back the winner of the Group 2 event this weekend!
