Master Of Arts remains the outright $4.50 favourite in 2017 Adelaide Cup betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au, ahead of Annus Mirabilis ($5.50) and Macedon Lodge runner Chance To Dance ($6.50).

Will Master Of Arts justify favouritism and win the 2017 Adelaide Cup, or will one of his talented rivals post an upset?

1st

Chance To Dance ($6.50)

Chance To Dance is an out and out stayer and should have the edge over his rivals at two miles in the 2017 Adelaide Cup. Resuming in January for fourth in a Caulfield mile race, Chance To Dance ran second in the talent-rich Craftsman Handicap (2000m) before working home well for third in the Bitalli Handicap (2000m). Having since won the Mal Seccull Handicap (2400m) and finished second in the Listed Torney Night Cup (2500m), Chance To Dance is drawn ideally in barrier 3 and will be partnered by Ben Melham.

2nd

Lord Van Percy ($26)

Lord Van Percy has found consistent and competitive form leading into the Adelaide Cup and appears as though he will relish two miles on Monday. Running second in the Skipton Handicap (2500m), the Sir Percy gelding failed to fire in the Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m), but has since finished fourth in each of the Mal Seccull Handicap and Torney Night Cup. Lord Van Percy should find a good position off the pace from his wide draw and will be partnered by in-form hoop Mark Zahra, with only 55.5kgs in tow.

3rd

Oncidium Ruler ($16)

Oncidium Ruler will have to muster a career-best performance to date if he is any hope in the Adelaide Cup, but he warries winning form into the race and it poised to lay a great account for himself in the Morphettville feature. Winning the Ladbrokes BM70 (2400m) on January 4th, the Strategic gelding finished fourth in the Rain Lover BM90 (2500m) and third in the Mal Seccull Handicap before returning to winning form in the Good Blokes Society BM78 (2500m) last time out on February 24th.
